Janine Gutierrez Paints the Town Red in These Ensembles
With Janine taking a bow as Dirty Linen’s Alexa, we look back on the ways she has made a statement with the intense color
Striking us with its ability to entice and alert, red is a color that makes us stop and stare. Since the beginning of the hit crime-drama series Dirty Linen, the primary color has made its appearance to make a statement on the pursuit of justice for lives taken, as well as on the passion it takes to live and thrive in this world. And if there is anyone who understands the assignment of bringing the color to life, it’s the actress herself.

Even before she took on the role as Alexa-slash-Mila for the series, the actress has donned and owned the color in many ways more than one. Now that one of her most iconic characters takes its final bow in Dirty Linen‘s last week, MEGA Entertainment rounds up the moments where she has embodied red in striking style sensibilities.
The statement entrance
When a star walks into the gates of Mother Ignacia, network tradition stands with welcoming them in a special ASAP stage number. The Gawad Urian awardee made her first appearance in the Sunday habit donning a frock that definitely stands out and shines, just like Janine in the pool of skilled actors within the network.
The summer look
Outside her busy schedule, the actress likes to keep herself in touch with nature. Adoring the sun with all its might, she basks in its warmth in a red printed dress that easily makes her effortlessly cool.
The sleek flame
Just like wildfire, bright reds can consume one’s whole look when overemphasized. Luckily, her grand media conference look is a sleek one with an added edge to it. Her custom Vania Romoff dress with a flame-like neckline is a subtle nod to the power reds while still keeping the dress’ cut clean and sophisticated.
The street statement
Putting an apple’s shade in the Big Apple itself, the actress graced New York while clad in 2019 Mugler denim coordinates with bedazzled lining. A headturner in this ensemble, she definitely mixed functionality and fun in one look.
The sweet tie
Now that Janine is saying goodbye to her sleuth character, she graced the stage as Alexa and Mila in a Martin Bautista creation that incorporated fringed and draped elements to it. Adding more oomph to the striking color were these styles that made the Dirty Linen star all the more a strike above the rest.
