Michelle Dee emulates the elegance and poise of a true beauty queen in a royal blue satin gown at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 preliminaries

Reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee proves yet again that she is a modern beauty queen. Instead of opting for the usual heavily-beaded and shimmering pageant gown, Michelle shined as bright as her crown in a satin blue number at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 preliminary competition.

Michelle Dee hosted the Miss Universe 2023 Preliminary stage in another Mark Bumgarner gown, this time in royal blue. In her continuing journey to forward Filipino craftsmanship in her Miss Universe Philippines reign, Michelle Dee is queenship regency in the two-piece gown with bare shoulders, a sweetheart neckline, and a column silhouette. The top extends over to her arms in sheer gloves, and flows over to her torso in a corset-like finish that accentuates her waist.

Dave Quiambao, her makeup artist, and Nelbert Seboy, her hair stylist, channeled Old Hollywood in the queen’s look with silver and blue eyeshadow and a voluminous single curl that tapped into the glamor of the decades. Finishing the ensemble are Jewelmer accessories.

Refined and polished in the Mark Bumgarner gown, Michelle dazzlingly commanded the stage. The queen has always been a wearer of intention and purpose, and today is no different. As she scans the parade of unique candidates in their own swimsuits and evening gowns, Michelle Dee has always been a continual wellspring of inspiration, style, and the underscored potential of the Filipino design.

53 candidates from across the nation will compete for the title of Miss Universe Philippines on Wednesday, May 22. Michelle Dee is set to crown her successor at the Mall of Asia arena.
