What happens when a passion project meets its purpose? It turns into something special and irreplaceable.  This is what the husband-and-wife tandem of Kim and Eun had in mind when they created Ligaya Studios.

“Our mission is simple: Do it for the memories,” the couple says. “We want our clients to feel so comfortable and confident behind the camera so they can have great photos to look back on.”

Kim is a commercial photographer specializing in product photography, while Eun is a business owner in the personal care space. Apart from their separate careers, Ligaya Studios is their passion project.

“We created Ligaya primarily as Kim’s work studio,” Eun reveals. “And then we added a little photo booth corner on the side. However, when we saw the demand for the photo booth, we decided to focus on it and bring Ligaya to events.”

Ligaya is named after the street where the couple first envisioned the studio to be built. Formerly a venue that offered a studio full of backdrops, lighting equipment, etc., Ligaya has transitioned into a mobile, self-portrait studio: “Honestly, this is also what we hope everyone feels–ligaya—while they create memories in our mobile photo booth, so we stuck with the name.”

It’s the perfect place to be if you’re feeling shy about the idea of a large cast and crew. With the self-portrait studio, you can take you own pace in a solo session, with all amenities available. If any event requires a pop of personality, Ligaya Studios can also pay a visit, and give a more refreshing, colorful atmosphere.

“Ligaya isn’t your typical photo booth,” the couple says. “We do styled frames, customized set designs, and can even do it roving-style. We actually morph into whatever the client needs.”
