A new title brings Pia Wurtzbach into the spotlight. Roman jewelry maison Bvlgari has appointed Miss Universe 2015 as its newest Friend of the House. Since her crowning moment, the Filipino-German beauty queen-turned-personality rose from the pageantry ranks and emerged as a global sensation of influence and style. As Bvlgari’s newest global ambassador, she cements her presence in the realm and ranks of fashion.

Throughout history, iconic figures such as Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Angelina Jolie, and Naomi Watts have donned the jewelry house’s precious gemstones. This announcement adds Pia to the roster of the maison’s A-lister ambassadors, including Bella Hadid, Lottie Moss, and Kirsten Dunst; more recently Zendaya and Anne Hathaway. “They’ve been creating pure gemstone magic for over 140 years,” Wurtzbach says. “And to be part of what’s next is truly an honor.”
It was only a matter of time before the industry picked up on Wurtzbach’s global influence, especially since she has once reigned the universe. Months after coveting the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year title last April, she continues to assert herself as one of the world’s fashion power players. But this time, donning Bvlgari’s exquisite jewelry as its ambassador—the first Filipino to earn the title.
One can say that this is a back-to-back win for the fashion maven after triumphant red carpet appearances at the amFAR Cannes Gala and Cannes Film Festival, where she wore local designers Michael Cinco and Mark Bumgarner. Of course, she was never without her Bvlgari jewels in these appearances.
