Halloween is the day when anyone can be whoever they wish to be—may it be a terrifying witch, singers like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and Rosé, or even a little monster like Mike Wazowski. With that, here’s a rundown of Filipino personalities who celebrated the spooky season too well with their fun and creative costumes.

Kyline Alcantara

The actress went all out in her costume as a mambabarang, a Filipino folklore creature that casts harmful spells. She channeled a dark and terrifying energy from the makeup, the costume, and the fiery photoshoot.

“The Mambabarang’s power is rooted in deep resentment or revenge, and their craft involves intense rituals that connect them with the spiritual or supernatural realm,” Kyline said in a Facebook post

Nicole Cordoves and Catriona Gray

The beauty queens went sweet this Halloween as they sported blonde locks, angel wings, and pink lace bodysuits. Paired with an angelic makeup look, the two looked stunning, heavenly, and ethereal in their angel costumes.

Criza Taa

Doing her Halloween assignment with an homage to Filipino pop culture, Criza Taa took inspiration from Vice Ganda’s film Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy where Vice acted as all four of the quadruplets. Like the comedienne herself, she went as all four of the quadruplets Girlie, Peter, Mark, and Panying.

Kim Chiu and Darren Espanto

I think we can all agree that “APT.” is one of the catchiest songs this year, and what better way to celebrate Halloween than going as Rosé and Bruno Mars? Taking it to the next level, Kim Chiu and Darren Espanto performed on the ASAP stage with matching leather jackets and even a drumset, recreating the funky music video.

Cassy Legaspi

Paying homage to the 2004 fantasy television series Mulawin, the Kapuso host-actress dressed up as Alwina, the Chosen Queen of Avila. Look how she went all out from her armor costume to her headdress and sword!

Rhian Ramos

Someone who went ambitious this Halloween was Rhian Ramos as Taylor Swift. The actress went all out and took her looks to another level by recreating the photoshoots of the global singer for her different albums: Reputation, 1989, Midnights, and folklore.

Barbie Forteza

You could always count on Barbie Forteza for a fun and playful costume this Halloween. This year, she dressed as Monster’s Inc.’s one-eyed green monster Mike Wazowski. Clad in a green dress with an eye in the middle and a bright blue beanie, the actress reminded us that Halloween is a fun and youthful day for everyone.
