Aga’s Restart
For Aga Muhlach, the pandemic brought more than its share of challenges—weight fluctuations included. Determined to regain control, he partnered with Century Tuna as a source of motivation, shedding 50 pounds since joining the campaign. Not only did the actor change his eating habits, but he used sports such as golf and cycling—both activities he has been doing since his youth—to stay active. While the actor‘s progress is impressive, he’s also quick to remind others that this decision doesn’t hold quick fixes.
Richard’s Consistency
During Richard Gomez’s time as a professional athlete, whether it was for rowing or fencing, it was instiled in him that to remain strong and powerful, it takes dedication and time. Today as an actor, athlete, and public servant, Richard continues to see fitness as a way to inspire others to prioritize their health. Consistency has also been the cornerstone of his approach, and the results are tangible because even at 58 years old, he was still able to loose 4 inches off his waistline.
Fitness Without a Deadline
Both actors embody Century Tuna’s message: fitness is a journey, not a race. Their transformations highlight the importance of taking the first step—no matter your age. Century Tuna Vice President and General Manager Carlo Endaya puts it best:
“Richard and Aga’s involvement in the campaign is a testament that fitness knows no age. No matter what stage you are in life, it’s never too late to make a change in your lifestyle.”
The #TheBestYouStartsNow campaign is a call to action for everyone to prioritize their well-being. Whether you’re at the peak of your youth or well into midlife, the message is the same: start where you are, and start today.
When it comes to weight, there is an obsession with overnight success. However, Richard Gomez and Aga Muhlach are playing the long game—and winning. Their outcome proves that getting older doesn’t mean slowing down, but rather living with intention.
