She has a lot more to show, and on the latest episode of MEGA Up Close and Personal, that’s exactly what she did as she shared the side of herself that goes deeper than the headlines. She Wants To Be a Person Who Helps Other People
In just a year, Ashtine went from background actor to leading lady. But even when it feels like the world’s attention is on her, Ashtine is more focused on wanting to help the people around her. She shared that she sees herself becoming the person she wants to be, which is one rooted in helping other people now that she’s been receiving a lot of blessings lately. “Ngayon, with all these blessings na natatanggap ko, mas nagkakaroon ako ng opportunity para mas makahelp ng tao and yun yung gusto ko maging ako someday.” For Ashtine, growth isn’t just limited to her career, but also in her compassion towards others.
This Is Just the Start for Ashtine the Actress
It took years for Ashtine to get her first leading role as she slowly built her resume with supporting work and a detour into being a P-pop idol. And now that she has gotten her deserving spotlight, Ashtine is ready for more. The self-described dreamer still wants more to achieve in terms of the roles, projects, and characters she takes on, especially those that test her capabilities as an actress. Ashtine is a student of the craft, learning and evolving as she goes.
Real Beauty Goes Deep for Ashtine
In an industry and social media ecosystem that can be too obsessed with physical looks, Ashtine is a believer that beauty is beyond the superficial. “I think yung real beauty is kung ano yung laman ng puso,” she said. Ashtine added that a beautiful person has a beautiful heart, and no face card can hide how an ugly personality will reflect on the outside. Feeling and being beautiful for Ashtine is not how you look but how you treat yourself and others.
Ashtine Is Not a One-Woman Show
Ashtine may be taking on leading roles these days, but as she sees it, she’s not the star of the show. In a reflection of her humility, Ashtine shared that she didn’t get to where she is today just by her talents alone. She credits the people around her for helping her get this far in life, whether that be her team, friends, or family. As much as Ashtine has gifts of her own, she welcomes the support of other people in helping her do the work and stay grounded. No one is an island, after all, and even rising stars understand the power of a healthy support system.
What’s Next for Ashtine? Just Happiness
Expectation is a loaded term that feels heavier on Ashtine now that a lot of people know who she is and anticipate her next step. Yet, as she reaches new heights, Ashtine chooses to put both feet on the ground as she admits that she doesn’t have any expectations for herself. She operates on the mindset that things happen in your life for a reason, and she’ll just let life take her where she needs to be and go from there. If anything, she just hopes to feel good inside in this new chapter. As she simply put it, “I just expect myself to be happy.”
