Ever since the world got its first sight of these two with the hit series He’s Into Her, Donny and Belle have been on the up and up, both as a duo and individual stars in their own right. And in 2026, these two young actors are back at it again with their upcoming movie that may just find DonBelle at their most mature yet as they grapple with the uncertainties of a relationship.

DonBelle’s First Movie Together in 4 Years
Titled Tayo Sa Wakas, the movie marks Donny and Belle’s movie comeback as a love team since 2022’s An Inconvenient Love. That four-year wait has left many fans anticipating the return of the DonBelle charm and chemistry to the big screen. It’s a fact that the teaser trailer smartly and creatively plays on, as it serves as a walk down memory lane of the DonBelle universe, as Donny and Belle actually recreate scenes from their past projects.
Beginning with their breakout show, He’s Into Her, and ending with their teleseryeCan’t Buy Me Love, the teaser sees the two callback to their greatest hits, like we’re watching a retrospective that established the love team before a short clip from the actual film plays, signaling how this is the next chapter for the love team. It’s a look back and celebration of their journey and a teaser for what’s next.
A New Era for the Love Team
Many fans first got to watch Donny and Belle together when they were still both rising stars. But their latest film suggests we’re about to see a new side to the love team. It’s been two years since Donny and Belle acted together on screen, that being Can’t Buy Me Love. Since then, the two Gen Z stars have worked on their solo projects, with Donny serving as a lead role in the action series Roja while Belle co-starred in the family drama Meet, Greet & Bye and released new music.
Donny and Belle have matured over the past couple of years, and going by the teaser, we’re entering a new, more mature phase. Given how Donny and Belle’s characters ponder where they are, which could reference both how they’re stuck in traffic and the status of their relationship, prepare for an emotional journey of a couple on shaky ground that tugs at the heartstrings.
Their First Movie With Cathy Garcia-Sampana
Cathy Garcia-Sampana is an institution at this point in the Philippine movie industry. Her films, from Four Sisters and a Wedding, She’s Dating the Gangster, The Hows of Us, Hello, Love, Goodbye, and more, are modern classics in Filipino pop culture. The director’s work with love teams is the stuff of legend with stories that have stood the test of time, and now it’s DonBelle’s turn as Tayo Sa Wakas is being led by Direk Cathy.
This actually is Belle’s second time working with the director, following Meet, Greet, & Bye in 2025, which Cathy Garcia-Sampana also directed. It will be exciting to see this new love story brought to life through this first collaboration with one of the new generation’s biggest love teams and one of the industry’s top directors.
Tayo Sa Wakas will come to cinemas on May 27.
