Our Favorite Moments From the 2026 Grammys
Just like that, the 2026 Grammys have come and gone. Celebrating and honoring some of the best music of the past year, this year’s Grammys brought the beats, ballads, commemorations, and, of course, the Grammys. The show also came at a particularly fraught time in society, reminding us of the power of music to heal, bring people together, and effect change. And in between all the wins and performances were a few moments that stood out from the crowd for all the right reasons. From moving speeches to showstopping stages, these memorable moments were our highlight of the night.

Kicking off the 2026 Grammys was Rosé and Bruno Mars, who performed their smash hit APT. as they looked cool and casual in their undone suits. The energy was at an 11 as they started the show on the right note. Opening the Grammys is an achievement in itself, but adding to it was how the performance made Rosé the first K-pop soloist to ever perform at the Grammys.
Golden Making Grammy History
KPop Demon Hunters went into the 2026 Grammys with a handful of nominations, ultimately winning one for Best Song Written for Visual Media for Golden. But that win proved historic. Further solidifying the soundtrack’s pop culture impact, Golden became the first K-pop song in history to win a Grammy.
The Many First-Time Winners
The beauty of the Grammys having so many categories and honoring so many artists is that there is bound to be first-time winners each year. And in 2026, that was the case as a handful of rising stars and underground favorites walked away with their first Grammys of their career, some even winning more than one. Notable first-time winners this year include EJAE, Olivia Dean, Kehlani, FKA Twigs, and Lola Young. In a night of historic wins, these achievements felt even sweeter, not to mention how these artists who have taken over our playlists can now call themselves Grammy winners.
The Powerful Speeches
At the end of the day, art is political, and the 2026 Grammys reminded us of that, especially during this time of increasingly violent ICE raids in America and unrest around the world. Beyond some attendees wearing “ICE Out” pins, a few musicians used their time on the podium to call out recent injustices and support immigrants. While accepting Best Música Urbana Album, Bad Bunny used his speech as an opportunity to defend immigrants, saying, “We are not savage, we are not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans. The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we need to be different.”
Meanwhile, Billie Eilish used her speech while accepting the Song of the Year award to remind people to keep the faith despite the challenging times. “No one is illegal on stolen land. And, yeah, it’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, and our voices really do matter, and the people matter.”
Olivia Dean Winning Best New Artist
In the past year, Olivia Dean went from an underrated gem to being one of the biggest rising stars of the moment with her take on modern pop-jazz. So, her win for Best New Artist felt deserving amongst a category of other deserving winners. What made the moment even better was her speech, where she talked about her immigrant heritage. “I’m up here as the granddaughter of immigrants,” she said. “I’m a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated.” As a cherry on top, Olivia’s win continued the streak of women winning Best New Artist since 2020.
Lady Gaga’s Rock Rendition of Abracadabra

If there’s one thing Lady Gaga is going to do, it’s put on a show. And that’s exactly what she did for her Grammy performance. Fresh from her sold-out stadium shows in Japan, Gaga took the stage dressed in Alexander McQueen F/W 2009 for an unexpected rock rendition of Abracadabra that works surprisingly well. Accompanying the reworking was robot-esque camera work that made for an unforgettable performance. In a night of strong performances, from Sabrina Carpenter’s airport-themed stage, KATSEYE bringing Gnarly to the Grammys, and Tyler, The Creator channeling performance art, Gaga stood tall for her creative vision that’s unlike any other.
Lola Young’s Reaction to Winning a Grammy
While some expect artists to remain calm and composed when they accept an award, the reality is that winning a Grammy is a big deal that comes with big emotions. Just look at Lola Young. The British artist winning Best Pop Solo Performance for Messy was not only notable in how she beat superstars like Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter, but also for her shocked and honestly relatable reaction. Though the win and Lola’s performance earlier that night made for a great comeback after she took a step back from the limelight for a few months due to health concerns.
Bad Bunny Winning Album of the Year
One of the night’s biggest winners was undoubtedly Bad Bunny, who took home three Grammys. And his most notable feat was bagging the top prize, Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos. With that, the win made the Puerto Rican musician the first Spanish-language artist in history to be awarded the Grammy for Album of the Year.
Bad Bunny, who already looked like a winner before the show started in his custom Schiaparelli suit, wiped away tears during his acceptance speech. “I want to dedicate this award to all the people who had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams,” he said in English. In today’s political climate, an acclaimed Spanish-language album on family, memories, culture, home, and migration winning the top prize at the Grammys felt deserving.
