If the recent success of homegrown acts such as BINI and Cup of Joe demonstrates anything, it’s that OPM deserves its spotlight on both the local and global stages. It’s a spotlight that’s further amplified with Spotify Philippines, especially when it comes to highlighting and supporting the next generation of Filipino artists, as seen in the roster of ten artists chosen to be a part of Spotify RADAR Philippines 2026.

​Some of these musicians have been making waves with viral hits, while others are on the cusp of their breakthrough. However, all are helping shape the future of OPM with their diverse and distinct sounds, stories, and creativity. From pop, rock, hip-hop, and more, get to know these rising creatives.

HEY JUNE! – On The Rise

Formed in 2021, this OPM band is composed of members Jim Mase, Coey Ballesteros, and Aci Fodra, and gets its unique name from the month they were formed. They first gained attention with their debut single, Panahon, but received mainstream recognition when their 2023 single, Lasik, went viral on social media last year. The track was so successful that they even released a second music video for it last August, starring young actor Will Ashley. The group is known for their alternative pop-rock tastes where melodic sound meets relatable storytelling.

Kenaniah – Promising Young Vocalist

This young singer-songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist from Lipa City, Batangas, is part of the next generation of solo male artists who have been capturing listeners’ attention with his honest, introspective, and heartfelt sound. He’s best known for the track Bahala Na, which has accumulated over 131 million streams on Spotify alone, as well as the original tracks for the official soundtracks for Viva One’s University Series adaptations.

fitterkarma – A Breakthrough Year

Few Filipino musicians are having as much of a breakthrough year in 2026 as fitterkarma is having. Thanks to their smash hits Pag-Ibig ay Kanibalismo II and Kalapastangan, the alternative rock band has been having its moment, topping local charts and gaining a bevy of new fans. What makes them stand out is how they take inspiration from Philippine folklore, horror elements, and their personal experiences for unique storytelling that is dark and emotionally driven yet relatable at the same time.

Chezka – Raw and Honest

This up-and-coming singer-songwriter started out on TikTok, where she gained a strong following thanks to her personal and honest lyrics and relatable original music. She has since parlayed her social media virality into a music career as she blends folk, pop, and alternative sounds to explore the complexities of life and have listeners confront their own feelings.

rhodessa – Effectively Lowkey

rhodessa may not be a household name yet, but you may have heard of her songs before. Her most popular track, Kisame, currently stands at a behemoth 205 million streams on Spotify. Over the years, the indie-pop Filipina artist has been building her reputation for her mellow and laid-back tracks that still hit hard emotionally.

NEW LORE – When Art Meets Music

As an all-girl Filipino indie-pop band, NEW LORE is helping bring an even greater voice for women in OPM. The three-member band consisting of Tita Halaman, Kim, and Carole is known for their embrace of art, poetry, painting, and visuals to showcase their music and tell their story that’s completely their own. When it comes to creativity, these ladies get it.

VVINK – P-pop Potential

When it comes to the new generation of P-pop groups, VVINK is on the rise, and for good reason. The five-member P-pop girl group made their official debut in 2025 under local music production powerhouse FlipMusic Productions and is the company’s first-ever P-pop girl group. Since then, they have become known in the P-pop space for their music shaped by stories of resilience, second chances, and everyday joy.

Waiian – New Generation of Rap

In the Philippines’ vibrant hip-hop scene, rapper Waiian has been carving a space for himself with his impactful verses and flows filled with creativity and unique lines using Filipino and English languages together in a seamless way. His music explores themes of motivation, truth, love, and justice.

Paul N Ballin – Viral Hitmaker

If you’ve been hearing the song POGI all over social media, you can thank Paul N Ballin for that, as he’s the artist and voice behind the uber catchy rap song. But aside from that, he’s also a member of the rap group Psychedelic Boyz and has been building his style and flow in the local rap scene.

Elhé – Dancer-Turned-Musician

Hailing from Olongapo City, Elhé is a genre-blending artist whose artistic roots trace back to when he started out as a dancer. This background eventually led him to discover songwriting and become the artist that he is today. Through R&B, Soul, and rap, Elhé combines his passion for movement and music to express his artistic vision.
