Cartier’s New Greenbelt 3 Boutique is Inspired by Philippine Culture and Heritage

With a worldwide presence through its 275 boutiques, Cartier opens its new boutique in the Philippines with a concept inspired by local culture and heritage

In a brand new space at Greenbelt 3, luxury French maison Cartier returns with a refreshed concept. It is the first boutique in the Philippines to feature Cartier’s latest interior design direction, carefully curated for a heightened and delightful client experience. The reinvention of Cartier Greenbelt 3 boutique was entrusted to the Moinard Betaille, an agency who has worked alongside the maison for over twenty years.

Inspired by in-depth knowledge of the Cartier identity and the deep respect for its heritage and codes, the boutique opens with a shimmering golden facade that invites guests to discover the wonders of Cartier. Once inside, they will be enriched with the Cartier concept masterfully infused with local Filipino references.

The interior space then begins with an unmissable feature wall in a patchwork effect depicting the panther and the Maison’s emblem, and surrounded by flora in tribute to the Philippines’ national flower, the sampaguita (a species of jasmine). This artistry echoes the traditional banig fabric patterns and bright colors, paying homage to local culture.

Inspiration from Filipino craft is also represented by the boutique’s flooring, which has a stone design reflecting the principle of basketry. Elements of maritime nature are also introduced: seashell patterns form on the columns and ceiling as a nod to the nation’s identity as an archipelago of islands.

Toward the left of the boutique, guests will encounter a sense of warm elegance subtly evoked by color codes of mother-of-pearl with straw marquetry. Complemented by earth-toned fabrics within the same space, the vibrancy of the Philippines’ tropical foliage and wildlife are further represented by a bespoke De Gournay focus wall, specially hand-painted for the new boutique.

The journey with flora and fauna continues into the VIP lounge, a private alcove for clients. On one side, its wall is embellished with leaf branches in wave-like movements, underlined by a patina graded from pink to white. On the other, nature is seamlessly represented by another De Gournay wall with lush vegetation, depicting rich agriculture in the Philippines.

Guests may also indulge in the romantic experience that awaits in the Bridal Area, thoughtfully decorated with a backdrop done in bas-relief technique with gold inserts by French plaster artist Del Boca. The continuous theme of local artistry is further enhanced in the Bridal lounge with a weaved basket screen, bringing softness and cohesiveness to the space.
