EXCLUSIVE: The Andrea Tetangco Muse is Shaped by the Essence of Women as a Collective
The designer expands her vision with a move to Rockwell’s The Proscenium, unveiling her first ready-to-wear collection as an extension of her brand’s signature femininity
Celebrated for her dreamy bridal and event wear, Andrea Tetangco is turning the page with ready-to-wear—fashion that moves as quickly as the swipe of a card. Relocating her boutique from San Juan’s Wack-Wack to the sleek enclave of Rockwell’s The Proscenium, the designer embarked on her first-ever ready-to-wear collection. Often considered the gateway to reaching a broader audience, ready-to-wear allows her to bring her signature femininity into everyday moments.

A Move That Made Sense
When asked what prompted the move to Rockwell, Tetangco was candid. “I got the opportunity here, so might as well grab it. It’s a private area, and it’s really hard to move here,” she shared. “I really want to do something big in the business. I was just waiting for the right time, and I think now is the right time.”
Indeed, setting up shop in Rockwell feels like a power move. The area is a hub for Manila’s polished set, a match for her refined aesthetic.
Famous for dressing brides and party-goers like they’re walking straight into a fairy tale, Tetangco is switching lanes—and this time, it’s ready-to-wear on the runway. “This is my first-ever ready-to-wear collection,” she announced with excitement. Rather than debuting a holiday line, she’s extending her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, first shown in New York.
“This extension is also inspired by my latest collection in New York, which is all about the first of summer,” she explained. “I’m focusing on more neutrals, but sparkly—glam, but you can still wear it in the afternoon.”
The collection captures the rhythm of New York’s summer energy, stitching together neutral hues with sparkle accents—ideal for afternoons that linger into elegant evenings.
As for her favorite piece from the collection, Tetangco gave a designer’s diplomatic answer: “Everything is my favorite.” But she did highlight the emotional connection to her recent New York show. “Since it was inspired by Summer in New York, it’s really about bringing that inspiration to life. The collection here is a 30-piece extension, and I want to expand it even further.”
An Atelier With a View
Tetangco’s new atelier isn’t just bigger; it’s brighter, literally, but also in a way that’s more aligned with her evolving vision of expansion for her brand. “The inspiration is somehow similar to my previous atelier,” she said. “I stuck with the DNA of the brand—the colors, the mood—but updated the finishing touches. Furniture, lighting, mirrors… and now I have more space to design.”
When pressed for her favorite spot in the new boutique, her answer came quickly: “My office. Because I have windows. Before, I didn’t have windows! Now I get natural light, and the sunset here—it’s really nice in the afternoon.”
While Tetangco is thrilled to meet a fresh clientele in Rockwell, she remains grateful for her loyal customers from Wack-Wack. “It’s fun that I get to meet new clients, but I feel so privileged that my old clients are still visiting me here,” she said.
Empowering Every Woman
The approach to inclusive sizing begins with the belief that every woman deserves to feel confident, celebrated, and represented in fashion. Designs are created with an understanding of diverse body shapes, ensuring that each piece flatters and adapts to a variety of silhouettes without compromising style or comfort.
Tetangco’s pieces aim to empower women by offering both structure and fluidity, allowing them to move confidently while feeling seen and celebrated. “It’s not just about making something that fits but creating something that resonates with every wearer,” she shares.
The Essential Muse
The Andrea Tetangco woman exudes individuality. Modern yet rooted in her identity, she embraces the complexities of her life with grace.
Her muse isn’t one woman—it’s the soul of many. “I do not rely on specific individuals for inspiration. Instead, the designs are shaped by the essence of women as a collective—their stories, their resilience, and their authenticity,” she explains. Filipino culture and global perspectives inform her work, resulting in garments that are personal yet universal. It turns every woman to her own muse.
Andrea Tetangco’s move to Rockwell and her pivot to ready-to-wear signal a turning point for the designer. And if her sunny new office and glamorous afternoon-ready pieces are any indication, she’s found the spot to let her creativity shine.
