Cambodia
Cambodia’s Neary Socheata Thai embodied Khmer culture and its cultural instrument. Made with golden jabi and designed by Skor Krob, she was a glimmering queen on the Miss Universe stage, holding her culture in her hands.
China
China’s Zhaona Zena rose as a phoenix—signifying rebirth and the Confucian virtues central to Chinese culture: justice, virtue, propriety, benevolence, and faith. Designed by Zhong Guiyao, Zena’s costume was both an homage to her culture and a fashion vision.
Dominican Republic
Jennifer Venture Marte took inspiration from Domincan Republic’s national flower. Covered in color from head to toe, the pink hues rose above, symbolizing tenderness, hope, and beauty—qualities that embody her nation’s vibrant spirit.
Egypt
Inspired by Nephthys, the Egyptian goddess of death and protection, Sabrina Erian was a divine spectacle on the international stage. Wearing Filipino craftsmanship designed by Axel Que, the ensemble was a contemporary reimagination of the goddess: a bejeweled bodice, architectural wings, and a cascading train.
India
Manika Viswakarma drew inspiration from the origins of Buddhism. Draped in gold and saffron, she channelled the moment peace was born. Complete with a Golden Chakra, a crown that resembled ancient temples, and a golden robe, she proudly displayed her country, where enlightenment was born.
Indonesia
Titled “Bali Yadnya – The Eternal Offering of Devotion,” Sanly Liuu brings the sacred Balinese tradition to Miss Universe. The costume spotlights her gebogan headdress, a towering offering of fruits and flowers carried by Balinese women during temple ceremonies. Inggi Indrayana Kendran’s creation is already a masterpiece, but worn on the global stage—a feat of culture.
Thailand
Thailand’s Veena Praveenar Singh brought Suvarnaraksa to life—a legendary guardian giant symbolizing strength, honor, and protection. Crafted in radiant gold, it reflects Thailand’s rich culture and heritage. And with the beauty’s queen donning Akarach Phusanaphong’s creation as armor, she stood unshaking as a timeless spirit of the guardian giant who watches over his country.
Philippines
Ahtisa Manalo brought the fiesta to Thailand as Festajda, the queen of festivals. In a colorful Mak Tumang creation, the skirt pays homage to the Philippines’ grandest celebrations: The Giant Lantern Festival of Pampanga, The Pahiyas Festival of Lucban, and The Panagbenga Festival of Baguio. On the other hand, the top is the timeless silhouette of the traje de mestiza, inspired by the beloved heroine Maria Clara.
Portugal
Camila Vitorino’s National Costume took inspiration from Celeste Caeiro, who offered carnations to soldiers: a symbolic gesture that marked the Carnation Revolution—and the end of a dictatorship. Created by António da Silva, the ensemble is a marriage of the military uniform and the carnation, transforming conflict into hope.
Puerto Rico
Zashely Alicea graced the stage en pointe as the endemic emerald hummingbird. Honoring both her ballet beginnings and her country, designer Joshuan Aponte fused the classic ballerina silhouette and the vibrant strength of the zumbabor. Embellished with crystals and complete with wings and a bird’s beak, she was the epitome of both femininity and the power of Puerto Rican women.
