Minty Fresh Is Set To Make Her Global Mark On Drag Race UK vs The World Season 3
Slowly but surely, Filipino drag has risen to be a cultural force and an example of what drag excellence looks like. With the success of Drag Race Philippines, more and more people are seeing that Filipino queens and the local drag scene in general is one to watch out for. And to further that point, another Drag Race Philippines veteran is stepping up to the world stage to showcase even more of Filipino drag excellence.

The Headliner Is Here
Recently, RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs the World revealed the ten new queens competing in the third season of the popular franchise through a newscast-style announcement. Among the ten contestants is our very own Minty Fresh from Drag Race Philippines season one. She, along with the rest of the queens, will compete for a cash prize of fifty thousand pounds (just under 4 million pesos based on current exchange rates) and the title of “Queen of the Mothertucking World.”
Minty’s participation in the show is particularly exciting given her run on her original season. Right from the get-go, she was seen as a frontrunner after she won the first episode of the season, the Talent Show, with her laser lights performance. Every week, she delivered with her looks that were edgy, fashion-forward, and intentionally Minty Fresh. It’s this strong eye for style, design, and POV that got her her second RuBadge with the Shop Shop Ladies Ball.
This talent is all wrapped in her unapologetically confident personality and distinct wit that gave us some of the most memorable moments and catchphrases of the season. With her head-turning face card, gorgeous looks, polished presentation, and “that girl” aura, Minty is one to watch out for as she represents Filipino drag. Already, her Meet The Queens introduction gave us a taste of what we can expect.
“It’s a full production, baby. You’ll be obsessed. I’m not a showgirl, I’m a headliner,” she proudly shares during her segment. Her look, from the red jacket used as a skirt, dazzling black and white top, and accessories, is a showstopper. Minty isn’t just there to compete; she’s there to make a statement and proudly represent who she is. We can’t wait to see the looks she prepared for the show and the local designers and creatives she worked with to bring her vision to life.
She’s Ready
With Minty joining the cast of UK vs The World season 3, she becomes the third Filipina Ru girl to participate in an international Drag Race franchise overseas, following her season one sisters Marina Summers on UK vs The World season 2 and Eva Le Queen on Global All Stars.
Minty is also not the only Filipino queen on the show, as she’s joined by two other Pinay drag queens, Melinda Verga from Canada’s Drag Race season 4 and Zahira Zapanta fromRuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 6. Add to that the participation of Gawdland from Drag Race Thailand season 3, and it’s shaping up to be a fierce season filled with Filipino and Southeast Asian drag excellence.
