EXCLUSIVE: The Secrets Behind BINI’s Coachella Glam

As usual, Nation’s Girl Group BINI stunned the Coachella crowd with powerful vocals, catchy melodies, and jaw-dropping choreography. But beyond their undeniable talent, they also captivated audiences with their striking style and face cards—sending fans to X (formerly Twitter) to ask the internet who the Filipino girl group is.

Complementing their blue siren ensembles was golden glam adorned with pearl-like rhinestones on the first weekend. “We decided to create a look that would represent how beautiful our beaches are,” makeup artist Julius Cabanisas shared. The result captured the warmth and shimmer of sunlit sands.

“We wanted their glam to seamlessly complement their costume, so we focused on using earthy and golden tones to enhance that overall aesthetic,” makeup artist Abby Reyes added. “The goal was to create a look that felt elevated yet cohesive, allowing both the makeup and the outfit to shine together without overpowering one another.”

And it did. The glam became the sands, while the outfits mirrored the sea—creating a striking, siren-like harmony.

Sunkissed Skin

As BINI takes on bigger and sunnier stages, the makeup artists focused on creating an elevated, sultrier version of the group. “We focused on a diffused, smoked-out liner to softly accentuate their eyes,” Reyes shared.

For the complexion, the artists leaned into warm, sun-kissed tones and bronze hues. “Everything was done to make them look like bronzed goddesses—refined, intentional, and glowing,” Reyes added.

With the desert heat in mind, Cabanisas ensured the glam was performance-ready. “What we really focused on was how the makeup lasts even in Coachella weather,” he shared. “And yes—it lasted.”

Weekend Two

For Weekend Two, BINI switched things up, stepping out in metallic purple ensembles with futuristic flair. The shimmering looks also inspired the glimmer in their glam. “Mark Qua, Theresa Padin, Anthea Bueno, Abby Reyes, and I collaborated and brainstormed how we wanted to show how radiant and beautiful the Philippine islands are,” Cabanisas shared.

Amid the flurry of glitz and glamour, the artists aimed to highlight the girls’ natural beauty—Filipina beauty at its finest. “We also added feathers and glitters to show that these Filipinas are ready to be seen by the world,” he added.

The Right Products

Preparing for a dry and sunny stage, BINI’s glam began with generous layers of moisturizer and SPF. Paired with powerful performances, the makeup artists also relied on sweat-proof products and a reliable setting spray—along with essentials from their very own BINI Cosmetics.
